HIGH GRADE!! An exceptional, crystalline Gold specimen from the National Mine. Technically this is Electrum, a natural alloy consisting of 50% Gold, and 50% Silver. Gold occurs as abundant tiny flakes, ribbons, and minute dendrites. Gold shows as both a bronzy color, and very bright brassy-yellow color with bright luster.  Specimen has been treated with mineral oil to enhance the contrast with the Electrum and the semi-chalcedonic Quartz matrix.  To remove use hot water, or plain rubbing alcohol. A special specific gravity determination for electrum indicates 16.8 Grams of Gold, and 16.8  Grams Silver. Total weight is 167 Grams, or 5.37 ounces troy.   Found using a Goldbug2 metal detector in 1999. This is a famous old, rich, historic, Nevada mining camp. Asking Spot Gold price@$3900 OZ
